Got out in town 10am. Back at 4pm. Last night did sentry on boat 6-9pm then found no room even to sit down so stood till 11.30 when we were told we could sleep in shed. Slept well despite cold and wet. Had apples, pork pies and swiss-cake for breakfast. Just had a good dinner in town. Wish you were here and I'd be happy. All my love, Yours forever, John.Notes:
